There is no “uniparty.” There are night and day differences between the Dems and Republicans even if many of their interests overlap. If we had 51 Republicans we coulda stopped this.
Respectfully disagree, I thought there was a real difference also but the establishment Republicans actually in control of the legislative process and vote counting are clearly compromised uniparty members. The OP premiss is correct the “Republicans” are infinitely comfortable playing the minority role at best and coordinated controlled opposition at its most cynical. There are only a handful of Republicans that actually attempting to execute their voters will. Maybe the Freedom Caucus can be counted on at times but that’s about it.
