What can he (the President) do? States are given the rights to conduct their elections. They have rules. They broke the rules. And when the President did the right thing and took it to the courts, the courts were too scared to get involved. And the media did their part the entire time to make sure that anyone would be too scared to object (you wouldn’t want your name, families names, and address being posted publicaly would you?). The President isn’t a monarch. Those that failed to do their part of the system should held accountable, I’m not going to blame the victim (Trump and his followers)
States are supposed to be governed by Federal laws when it comes to Federal elections. POTUS could have and should have at least tried to EO some Federal election rules. The Scamdemic was in place to keep him from doing that but he should have just taken the PR hit and done it. He should have EOd all states to reopen too but he spent too much time on camera deflecting responsibility to the States thinking people would wake up and see the democrat corruption. Well they woke up and it didn't fucking matter because the people have no power in this country, democracy doesn't exist.
An EO wouldn’t have worked. Any state would laugh off an EO interfering with their rights in presidential elections. This is hard coded into the Constitution.
“Congress may determine the Time of choosing the Electors, and the Day on which they shall give their Votes; which Day shall be the same throughout the United State”
That’s it. The federal government has no authority behind that.
