Then it would have been known in real time rather than from forensic analysis.

IMO if any machine can be proven to have outside connectivity, and this obviously proves it, those results cannot be trusted. But that is only valid if those counting want it to be accurate.

You would think that if they had this sort of evidence in real time they could have used it to get a manual recount of the ballots immediately.

It would be to risky to reveal their identities right now, if they mange to present the evidence in court maybe they could reveal themselves then.
