You know who really aren't heroes? Teachers. Modern teachers are nothing more than liberal babysitters. I know someone who became a teacher, and I would not want him teaching my kids. Absolute lowlife.
Speaking from nearly 20 years of being a chess teacher, and dealing with public schools often... many teachers are good, many are brainwashed, and some are outstanding, but they all in the public school system are crippled.
