Right? My tenants pay their rent thankfully but I want to remodel both units soon. I have to talk to the local landlord association and some lawyers to see if I can just not renew the lease and get them out that way.
Edit: I think I was told last year by a local landlord that not renewing the lease is different than an eviction. Still need to see if I can do that without facing a lawsuit though.
IN CT, YOU NOTIFY CURRENT TENANT IN WRITING WITH A CERTIFIED LETTER A MONTH IN ADVANCE.. NEVER ALLOW TENANT TO USE SECURITY TO PAY FOR FINALE MONTH..THATS HOW YOU CAN GET SCREWED...
As a landlord, the eviction moratoriums feel like they already have taken my property.
