Just payed my property taxes and realized that I'm paying the government rent for my house and they're using it to pay rent for other people. Feels bad man.
Yup. My little berg ... some people passed something that prohibited property tax increases for some number of years because the people were fed up with the increases. So the city council passed a series of fees to tack on to the same bills, so the increases happened anyway, but called "fees".
Sounds a bit like the obama care "tax" that wasn't/was a tax.
