It definitely can't happen overnight. Here's the plan, though:

• They gain control of news and social media dissemination (we are here).
• They pass laws (e.g. banning guns) that go unenforced at first, so everybody gets used to them.
• They crack down on some Bad(tm) people that everybody agrees are bad, and enforce their un-Constitutional laws against those Bad(tm) people first. ("They came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak up, because I wasn't a trade unionist.")
• They divide and conquer. When they surround a patriot's house, all their neighbors won't find out about it until too late to form a crowd and peacefully deflect the bullies by being too big to arrest and standing up for what's right.
• Here's the kicker - the evil people who are doing this will never themselves be in harm's way. They will send our own indoctrinated young people as their goons. Patriots who have been conditioned all their lives to respect the blue and respect military are going to have their property stormed and will be effectively executed by cops and national guard. Anybody who shoots back in self defense will be demonized as a terrorist.
• Let me repeat that so it's clear. The bad people will never be in danger. AOC is writhing on the ground in hysterics at the very idea of herself being in danger, when of course she never was. Leftist politicians will send OTHER people's kids into harm's way to enforce their unconstitutional edicts.

In some ways I wish the socialists/leftists would go ahead and start mass murdering people, because that would make the patriots' job easier. But just venting - to be clear, I don't really wish that. It's tough, man. It's a boil the frog situation. The goal of leftist movements is that by the time they eventually do start the Pol Pot / Cambodian killing fields operations, it will be far too late for the disarmed, demoralized, and emasculated population to do anything about it.
