I went there 11 years ago to cash a check. It was a check or workers comp cuz I was out for 1 week with an injury sustained on the job. I had an account there AND the check was issued by Bank of America.
I give my lisence and ask them to just cash the check. It was less than $300. The teller goes “ok put your thumb on this ink pad” and I just did it and then she goes, “put your thumb on the check” and I absolutely refused. She said I can only have cash if I do that otherwise I would have to deposit it and it’ll take up to 3 business days. I told her I don’t care and will be back to close my account. I put a request in for the cash (over $30K) and returned when I saw the check cleared in my account. The manager was basically begging me to keep the account with them. I told him no way and have never done business with a big bank since.
