The last time I was asked to put one on was at Winco by the asian cashier.
Half the employees had their mask down or off. She said, "Next time can you please wear a mask?"
I looked around and said, "no, I don't think I will" she said ok and never said anything again after that.
I never wear a mask in our supply house, and we're probably one of the top 3 buyers they have. I had just gotten done placing an order for about 10k worth of parts for an apartment complex. The "head dick" as I call him sauntered by and said "hey bud, you gotta wear a mask in here. I'll give you one for free this time"
So I took it, put it on, walked back up to the counter and said "cancel that order" took the mask back off and dropped it on the floor. Walked out the door and went to the next supply house.
The smarmy fuck actually called and apologized and offered me a 10% discount if I'd come back. I said I'll think about it but this new place seems awfully eager to both earn my business and not piss me off. All he could say was "I understand and again, I apologize".

My husband and I never wear them. I don't pay attention to if people stink eye stare (I ignore most people so don't see them). My husband glares at them and they always look away (he tells me afterward when someone was staring). We don't worry if someone gets upset. Couldn't care less.
Yup. A dude was scared for his life when he saw me at an ATM. He immediately walked out. When I walked out and got in my car, like the coward he is, he pointed at the mask sign on the door. I just gave a thumbs up followed by a middle finger and left lmao. He looked livid.
We live in WA too and had a dude in Winco freaking out that we and a third customer weren't wearing them. He asked for the manager and then started complaining to her. He literally said, "You need to control them!" I replied, "So you admit it's all about control." He answered, "Yes I do! I own a small business and you're the reason I might go out of business!" I said, "Shouldn't you blame the governor for closing you down?". He then said, "If you're going to allow unmasked people in your store, maybe I'll have to stop shopping here!" and stormed out. We found it completely hilarious and were laughing at him the whole time. The checker agreed with us, because she patted me on the arm as she went by. I wish I'd gotten it on video.
