Half of people have some resistance to covid due to having had the common cold due a different corona virus. They have T cells that recognize at least one of two proteins on the surface, which runs the alarm bells.

So their bodies recognize it and fight it quickly. That's likely why the fall off. Close to 9 percent confirmed, plus same vaccinated, plus half resistant. You get people on average infecting less than one other person.
