To torment you while your life wastes away. Execution seems like a mercy to me. I've been imprisoned before although I've never committed a crime and would rather die than face the prospects of life without freedom.

Having also been locked up, freedom is in your mind. Although of course physical freedom is great.

It really messes you up. I was imprisoned overseas for political reasons. It was a real wakeup.

Yep. For 10 years, I slept on the floor because they took away my bed. I still do it sometimes. Definitely messes you up.
