LEO can buy off-rosters and sell them PPT, but they can’t do it just to make some extra cash, or be obvious about it like buying an off-roster and then selling the next week. A few cops with LAPD and even some sheriffs/deputies I believe have gotten arrested running gun buying/selling schemes. Depending on the off-roster, they can sell for roughly 2/3s over the original MSRP - sometimes double, or more if it’s rare, so it can be fairly lucrative for the seller.
So it's basically a nice way for LEO's to earn an extra buck, purchase it low sell it at premium?
