I'd like to add some major clarification here: This is part of California's handgun roster that's been in law since 2011 and isn't some new ban. Every year the list is amended, some manufacturer's pay for California's certification process for the handgun, most on here don't, and is simply the yearly state renewal of the roster.

What the roster means is that the guns on the list can't be sold via FFL, but can be:

  • brought into state by someone moving to California

  • purchased by LEO and in some cases military if someone gets their commander to sign off on purchase

These guns can however be sold private party, but since they are off-roster they typically sell for a premium. They aren't banned from private ownership/sale, just can't be purchased by civilians new from FFLs. Just wanted to clear that up for everyone here freaking out, not that they shouldn't be worried for what's yet to come, but don't add this to your pile of things to worry about. Yes it's bullshit, but it's old news.

Signed, a CalGunner

So it's basically a nice way for LEO's to earn an extra buck, purchase it low sell it at premium?
