This seems accurate to me, and remember we are regularly bombarded with these fake "alt-tech" platforms which are really just gilded cages.

Newsmax sprung up as we fled fox when we all knew OAN was the (least as far as I've seen) the real deal. Parler sprung up as twitter purged us whilst GAB was already doing the job.

Not saying necessarily those companies set out to round us up but certainly what they became when big money got their claws into them.
