Plans fail as soon as the enemy is engaged. Plans need to change and be modified by conditions of battle. You saying, or General Flynn saying that there is no plan simply acknowledges that the situation is fluid. It does NOT mean that the battle is over or lost.

And finally, if there were goals and strategies being used do you honestly think that they would be discussed openly and posted here? The fact that you and I have no idea what to expect tells me that the battle is raging and ongoing.
