I received a form letter from one of your office workers the other day and I want to say, thank you for your reply. I want to encourage you to please vote your conscience and vote to convict Trump for an "insurrection" that occurred prior and during his speech, which makes it difficult for his words to be the triggering event. Please carefully consider the constitutionality of this impeachment, instead of calling out this clear and utter bullshit. I want you to know thanks to you and similar "Republicans" I am done with the GOP, I will never give to them again. I will never vote for them again. I will actively encourage any right leaning person to avoid Republicans like the plague. I hope whatever it is that you received to sell this country out was worth it. I hope you are able to make it clear with your vote to convict Trump that the Republican Party is not a friend to the American people, it will make my job as a newly minted anti-Republican so much easier.
Good day.
Senator Richard Burr has come out firmly against impeachment, he voted to dismiss the charges because Trump is not a sitting president. He recently released a statement that he believes if people want to pursue charges about the riot they should be referred to the Department of Justice.
So what am I missing?
Funny, because his response to me was he was going to listen to the case and listen as an unbiased juror. The case is bullshit and should be called out as such. Being polite is just going to cause more of this garbage.
No shade, I just don't think we need to focus on him. I think he is a solid acquit vote.
We should focus on Mittens, Collins, Murkowski, Sasse, Toomey, and maybe even Manchin.
I didn't take it as shade. I am just sick of the whole lot, with a handful of exceptions. I also wrote Senator Tillis and his response was more against this and at least somewhat understanding to his base. I feel Burr is on his way out and trying to make sure his pockets are properly stuffed.
You were right and I was wrong.
I'll never doubt a pede again.
