The elites are using blacks and BLM as a shield for their degeneracy. Just like they used Obama for their evil agenda. The foolish will hesitate to criticize the insanity for fear of being labeled as RAYCISS. So yes, I would say that unfortunately race has a big part to play. The younger generation of black youth are becoming conditioned to accept these conditions. They will shrug off the transgender activist agenda and say what does it matter. The older generation knows better and are more vocal but due to willful ignorance desperately cling to the Democratic platform because Orange Man Bad, republicans are rayciss etc. etc. This is why Trump was so dangerous to the elites. He woke up so many people of color (and Americans as a whole) and there was a stampede off of the plantation. And we can't have that now. Can we?
