They own their own servers, so when they got flooded with millions of new users, they had to expand servers quickly. There have definitely been growing pains. But because they own their own servers, they can’t be kicked off of their servers like parlor was kicked off of Amazon. This is the way.
I love the feel of Gab, but they really need to improve their software or machines running it because it is ungodly slow.
