I got harpy hammered in an internet conversation on this topic on LinkedIn when somebody posted an article about how women can raise their stature, self-esteem, and standing by consuming time in meetings.
I mentioned that meetings are about making plans and solving problems, not mental health... women lost their minds.
It was hilarious. Apparently, they believe speaking up in a meeting is not about contributing; its about consuming other people's time for purposes of increasing self-worth.
