they call that liquid in the street "the gravy" - we were hoping our friends in the service industries would have a chance to make some badly needed money.....denied.........

Hey, i get the service industry people i feel for them. But hopefully those folks seriously take a look at finding an occupation where your welfare is not dependent on taking tipsfrom strangers. Every restaurant i know, is selling pretty much the same amount of product just using a take out model instead of dining room service.

And from what ive seen, they are making up the loss of alcohol sales in food prices, which they should. Im self employed, ive had to rethink my construction business. I dont get myself in a position where im gonna be screwed if theres another lockdown. You have to adapt, any server can learn to work kitchen staff, but as anyone knows, the kitchen staff makes less, thats why they are servers. Never understood that having worked in many restaurants. I guess you trade security for lower wages and actually learning a marketable skill.

yah I agree with you. Years ago my friend quit architecture school to follow a guy and work in a bar. WTF. People really think the world is going to go back the way it was. I keep telling them it isn't and they give me the stink eye. While they played I went to school and now I get paid to work from my house. My friend wants to become my gardener lol.

My 20s completely sucked worked 90 hour weeks while my friends had the best decades of their lives goofing off. Meanwhile I'll make 400k next year while my old friends are unemployed. You reap what you sow in this country.
