Republican Senator Ted Cruz placed a block on the nomination for Biden's Secretary of Commerce pick over concerns about her positions on Huawei.

"I'll lift the hold when the Biden admin commits to keep the massive Chinese Communist Party spy operation Huawei on the Entity List," Cruz tweeted in affirmation of his decision.

Under the Trump administration, Huawei was added to the Department of Commerce's "entity list," a trade blacklist, over concerns that the company may be involved in espionage activities on behalf of the Chinese government, The Hill reports.

Gina Raimondo, Biden's nominee for commerce secretary, did not affirm her commitment to the continued blacklisting of Huawei, and said that she would "review the policy, consult with [Congress], consult with industry, consult with our allies, and make an assessment as to whatโ€™s best for American national and economic security."

"Gina Raimondo's ethics issues and soft stance on China including her refusal to commit to keep Huawei on the Entities List is deeply troubling," Cruz insisted in a separate tweet.

While continuing to not affirm her stance on the issue, Raimondo later said in a written statement that she has "no reason to believe that entities on those lists should not be there."

Cruz has received support from other Republicans who share similar concerns over the nominee's stance on Huawei.

Republicans have also expressed concern over the White House's position on Huawei. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has said that "telecommunications equipment made by untrusted vendors, including Huawei, is a threat to the security of the US and our allies," but has not stated whether it will continue to maintain Huawei's position on the entity list.

Huawei has denied that it poses any security or espionage threat to the United States.

He fucking should have blocked them ALL.

Why didn't he block that little faggot Transportation Secretary? He's a fucking failure. He was mayor or some shitty little east coast town for like a year. That's it. He has no business having control of anything. He doesn't even have control of his bowel movements because his boyfriend prolapses his anus on a nightly basis.

I set up a client in a new office earlier last year. That office space's former occupant was Huawei.
That office is less than 2 miles from the Sprint World Campus in Overland Park and was on the 4th floor and actually faced the Sprint campus.
They left so quickly that all monitors were left in-place and a $3000 UPS system was left in the rack.
They must have had cameras everywhere in there because there was a shitload of dedicated camera drop cables left everywhere above the ceiling and camera mounts everywhere.
I'm not talking about a camera per room for standard security posture, I'm talking multiple cameras in every damn room all pointed everywhere so that every inch of the entire office was covered with no blind spots at all.
They must have been recording everything going on 24/7/365 in that office.
There was no "bench" or other lab-testing area at all in there.
I traced every single network drop and even went into the area above the false ceiling to make sure they didn't leave any "surprises".
I even swept the entire place with my spectrum analyzer and the client actually paid for that service. The only weird thing I found was a noisy ballast in one of the fluorescent lights that we got the electrician to replace since that's usually a sign it's about to fail anyway..
The IT services company I worked for at the time had never done that before but because it was Huawei specifically, the company president was really worried about any leftover Chinese spy shit still operating in that office. I told the boss "well, I still have my old scanning gear from when I was working in the desert during the wars..." and it was off to the races.
I also wiped the UPS network management card and reloaded it before putting it back on the network. The UPS itself was also brand-new.
The whole thing just felt weird. The landlord of the office building said they paid a shitload to get out of their lease as they had just renewed it like 2 months earlier. He said a lot of people came in one night and moved everything out into one big moving truck and from what he can remember of that night not a single person doing the moving was not Asian.
I'm betting that the whole thing was probably just a front for a CCP IP theft ring that was on the verge of getting blown so they got the fuck out quick.

Coulda been a hero. Now he's just a zero. Unless he gives us the whole enchilada on a plate, this guy doesn't deserve the spotlight.
