That's not exactly correct... obviously the aircraft reserved for the president is fortified and equipped with a vast array of communication equipment...while the Air Force could designate any plane by which the president travels as AF1, a considerable amount of planning and preparation would precede such a decision.
The picture shown in the article is AF2, reserved for the vice-president.
Stop with this horseshit. The President doesn't always travel on one of the VC-25As. Many airports are too small for a 747 to operate from, and in those cases, POTUS will travel on one of the C-32s, which are used for the Vice President as AIr Force 2, and for Cabinet members.
I believe any plane the president, not saying Biden is the legitimate president, flies on uses the call sign AF1.

I've seen pics of Obama leaving the same plane, and the other one. Duckduckgo "Obama Air Force One" and you will see the same plane.
My justification for this is that they just the larger plane when they are traveling further or with more people.
