Even The Onion does a more professional looking newscast. Why can't these other guys at least match that?
If they ever want to be taken seriously they need to improve their production values about 200%
Okay I've got my flameproof suit on, go ahead and let me have it even though you know I'm right
They need money and cash infusion from large investors to purchase studio's, camera's, lighting, makeup artists, sound techs, camera operators, etc.
You're talking tens of millions of dollars a year, dude.
CNN and Fox burn though Billions a year and they're owned by media moguls and MASSIVE conglomerations.
Give them a break. They're indie news channels doing the best they can with the funding they can get. It's hard to find investors for conservative news companies that won't bend the knee. So don't expect a huge billion dollar infusion from a venture capitalist into a company that's not publicly traded.
For example, just a single camera that CNN/Fox uses cost easily 40-80 thousand dollars. For one.
I completely get what you're saying but I don't think the onion spends tens of millions of dollars, do you? Take a look at one of their tongue in cheek newscasts.... this is all I'm talking about
