Yep, they had a full Nerve Agent training facility with full decon and everything. Saw a bunny die there from Nerve Agent exposure. I'm sure after 9 - 11 a lot of things changed but it did strike me a little weird that there was all this stuff in the middle of nowhere and we just drove to it without being stopped, opened up a garage door, and grabbed a couple of barrels and off we went.
Yeah they don't take bunnies or goats or anything like that in the chamber anymore. Now they just use chemical agent monitors both area and point source detectors to show that you are in a chemicaly contaminated environment.
Nice to meet yeah, warrior. For a couple of weeks I got to train with you guys and you warriors put me to the test. I passed with flying colors. If you want to hear that story it's a pretty funny one.
I difficult for me to recall a moment of training that in hindsight isn't absolutely hilarious. It may have been miserable at the time but when I look back all I can do is laugh. The humor never really translates to people that didn't go through it.
