Unfortunately this means that the usual attitude of simply voting and assuming elections are legit isn’t going to work. That’s why I keep trying to tell people to read Gene Sharp, and even the Brookings “playbook”, so people can handle this situation properly.
People need to realize that they can’t assume anything is legitimate anymore, and “club” elites will have essentially no limits on what it takes to maintain and extend power because they’ve already used lots of violence and violent threats.
