In that movie, superman loses his powers and the white house is invaded with America being held under the power of an unelected mad man. At this point Clark Kent gets his ass handed to him in a fight in a diner. He realises at that point America needs him, so he hitchhikes and walks back this fortress of solitude (Mar-a-Lago) where he tries in what seems like an in vain attempt to get his powers back. Meanwhile the mad man goes after Lois Lane at the daily planet. At this point when all hope seems lost, Superman flies into Metropolis and says "Excuse me General, Do you care to step outside?" I think in 2024 we will something similar
