From what I understand from the Trump administration, when you’re a new President who’s hugely popular with your base and your party controls both houses of Congress, they turn against you and refuse to help achieve any of your policy goals, no matter how long they have promised their own constituents to achieve those exact same goals, and instead start outrageous criminal investigations against you based on ridiculous evidence.
