Torba is sounding like a nutjob here. It's quite possible that Kushner is among a large group of people in Trump's inner circle who are quite sensibly advising him to lay low until the impeachment circus is over. It's also quite likely that Trump is considering launching his own free-speech social media platform, in which case making a big splash by joining one of the existing ones only to jump ship a few weeks later by announcing the launch of his own, would be an incredibly dumb move. The idea that any one person, whether Kushner or anyone else, is singlehandedly preventing Trump from using Gab, is preposterous.
Yeah, exactly./ If we all can see Kushner is bad news, do people actually think Trump can't? Also that he can't download an app and type consecutive letters and numbers into said app wielding device? Maybe kushypuss has put china finger traps on Trump, and he is just stuck in his chair not being able to get his fingers free.
Making a new platform would be dumb unless it is absolutely huge. Meaning it will take on all of the competition. Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc. If it's just going to be a microblog style site, just get on gab.
But Trump is capable of creating and huge and successful new platform. It's something he should consider and research carefully before jumping in, but it's a real possibility for him. The toughest part might be figuring out the logistics of how to launch a platform which several million people would try to join on Day One.
Even if he has a beef with the guy or has inside information it's still pretty unprofessional to call him "dopey" for no specific reason. Also Kush is probably a lot of things- I don't know a lot about him tbh- but clearly dopey doesn't seem to be accurate. It's a dopey tweet if anything or whatever you call a gab post.
There is no good reason to not use both this supposedly new platform, and also Gab.
The point is to spread your message to as many people as possible, which means being service agnostic. Use them all. Each tool has its own best use case.
For ordinary people, I agree. But for Trump, whose every move and every word makes headlines, and who may be in the process of trying to launch a free-speech social media platform of his own, it definitely would not make sense to start using Gab right now. And the people who have convinced him to keep quiet during this critical time period, not just refraining from social media posting, but from any direct public communication, are giving him good advice.
No, we knew before this that kushner was keeping him off. The only thing kushner is concerned about is sand in the desert that has nothing to do with us

I don't see the need to get the dig in, either. Even if true he should probably be more respectful I think.
Agree. By making posts like this, Torba pretty well ensures that Trump won't ever join Gab.

He shouldn't be posting anything during the pending litigation.
However once that is over and he has internet presence again, there is absolutely no reason not to publish content to multiple services.
One message, spread over multiple services. This is how major brands do it. This is how other politicians do it.

No, "we" did not, and do not "know" anything of the sort.
