Million times yes! Until all the pedes can figure out how to setup Pihole and block everything, this is the way.

Is there any way to block this new shit google is doing where they embed the page and no doubt stalk you while you read an article or whatever

(Yes I use duck duck go as my default search engine but sometimes you have to go to the evil beast to get better results)

I think Privacy Badger blocks Google trackers.

There are some pretty neat extensions that can help reduce the amount of monitoring they do. Here are some Addons I suggest:

  1. Ublockorigin (General Ad blocker)
  2. NoScript (Prevents unverified scripts from being run in your browser)
  3. Decentraleyes (Prevents tracking from google/ads/others)
  4. HTTPS Everywhere (Helps stop insecure http sites from monitoring and some other fun stuff)
  5. Facebook container (If you use Facebook still, it stops them from viewing browsing data by letting you login to a separate container)
  6. Ghostery (Ad blocker, tracker blocker)

If you're using brave browser, you can install chrome addons since they both run off of Chromium. Here is a guide for installing chrome addons: https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017909112-How-can-I-add-extensions-to-Brave-
