Aside from men potentially fighting behind the scenes, I think people just aren't motivated enough. Severe enough pain hasn't hit close enough to home, yet. People want to do their own thing and don't care about others enough to work together and help.
It's suspicious that the "fiercest fighter" is a woman, when in a normal America there would be real men fighting tyranny.
