Yesterday I typed in patroits.win by accident and it went to a gab anti mask - americans against masks page. At first I was like wtf, is the Donald gone?? Took me a few to even realize the mistake.
If a site has a decent amount of traffic, then domain squatters will grab the most common misspelling options, for about $5/year per domain. Whoever bought this did have to setup the redirect to the DNC though.
I wonder how other misspell permutations they've bought... that gets pretty expensive.

.WIN top level domains are only a few bucks a year generally.
But you also have to research al the potential misspellings
Not really, just swap two letters or brute force it and see what mistakes you make trying to type it in fast.
It isn't just Dems. Partiots.win redirects to an anti-mask page on Gab.
Then buy those domains and make some money.

You would only have to buy domains and redirect them.
