It's not our place to separate the tares from the wheat, but His during the harvest. Otherwise there is risk of uprooting some of the wheat among the tares.
You can't out psyco a psycopath, so it's best not to play them at their own game. You could lose yourself in the process and risk damaging the soul. If damaged enough you'd run the risk of becoming a numb sociopath. In the end you'd become that which you sought to defeat.
