Because they are brainwashed to think that without twatter no one will ever see their post. They don't understand that without them twatter will become top heavy and no longer be able to pay for hosting and server cost. If we could get everyone to dump twatter at once It would crush them.

I have an account, I just cant get into it due to the large influx of traffic. I was planning on removing my account anyways since I dont use it hardly. Social media, based or not, has become a verboten thing with me.
