You mean the same GOP that voted in support of Liz Cheney a few days ago? Wouldn't taking over take as much effort as starting from scratch with how bad they are?

The Libertarian party is what you get when you try to fork away from the GOP and try to do better. They are terrible -- you'd have to ask yourself whether you could do better than them. I'd be skeptical of whether it can be done, but there's plenty of room for visionaries if you have the gift of swaying people and raising money.

One problem with the libertarian party is that they have have no regulation at all when it comes to who can join up and run for leadership. You have people like vermin Supreme and anarcho-capitalists getting serious support within the party. Essentially, they need to purge the wackos.
