Doesn't surprise me at all. It was a dumb calculated risk, but doctors are no different than most that grow up in academia. They treat research as gospel and exclude the aspect of research where mankind is corrupt. If numbers are hidden or doctored the research is no good. They ignore that data can be manipulated for selfish reasons. I also like to bring up when NOAA was doctoring data to show climate change.
A human being simply can't connect the dots on anecdote alone. As more women get injected, we're going to see thousands of similar testimonies. Not necessarily because the vaccine is harming pregnancies, but because thousands of women miscarry every year and millions of women are getting vaccinated.
Not that we should trust it; I'm just saying it will take some serious number-crunching to spot a true correlation unless it is absurdly high.
