For Boomer Me, this is kinda sad... none of these things actually looks like a real gun. When I was a kid we played with cap guns that were realistic looking enough that you could hold up a liquor store with them (and some people did!).
It’s a double-edged sword, because I also would have loved these “futuristic space blasters” as a kid. I was gonna ask OP if he’s currently adopting, lol.
This all started when that first kid got capped while playing laser tag. The original “lasers” were just a beam of infrared light, and the kid thought the cop was his friend in the dark, so he started “shooting” at him.
We made the mistake as kids of combining laser tag with water balloons as grenades. Not a good mix. One of the chest modules took a direct hit and shorted out. The rental company wasn’t too happy about it either, lol.
To bad he lost them all in a terrible bath tub accident

Whatever happened to a good old BB gun fight between friends. Kids are so soft these days.
