well, for firefox i recommend the addon "Video Downloadhelper" (logo is 3 spheres)
which works on many sites but has issues with some formats.
And if you want to get more serious you should look at youtubeDL and ffmpeg which are both command line based and a lot more powerful. But trickier to use. However, someone did make a handy dandy UI for youtubeDL that you can get here: https://mrs0m30n3.github.io/youtube-dl-gui/
YoutubeDL works great for youtube and plenty other sites, also lets you convert to mp3 etc. for everything Else: ffmpeg. theres also a addon for it called spotDL (for spotify) that can handle entire playlists with a fairly high degree of accuracy.
The real benefit of youtubeDL and ffmpeg over various addons or third party sites is that they go right to the source and are wicked fast. Pretty much as fast as your internet will allow. I downloaded the 700 mb mike lindell vid in like a minute.
