What about people that have never been raised to believe, you know by parents that are atheist or agnostic? What about the People that are raised without ever being told anything other than religion is a lie, will they be forgiven? What if they are ignorant of their wrong doing? Are those sins forgiven? What about the people that were forced out of belief by constantly being questioned as to why this why that, on questions that no one has an answer to? What about the people that look at the corruption, pedophilia and greed in churches and decide that is not something they want to be a part of or have any relation with? What about the bible? The Bible is so full of "analogies, metaphors" how do you know how to interpret it? Because no one should believe a snake talked, a man walked across water ect. How does anyone know it's not a scheme to gather followers and money? Ive been raised in a catholic household, and watching the world certainly helps ME believe, but what about all of the above?
you'd be surprised at how many people who didn't grow up in our corrupt, consumeristic society already know about God. everybody knows about God. its just that some forget, and some have it beaten out of them.
You make a lot of good points. I struggled with all of these same issues for about 20+ years before I went from my atheism/agnosticism back to the faith. I was raised a Catholic and I went back at age 33 after being gone forever....which is quite typical.
I would love to try to answer some of your questions and share some of my experiences with you, if youre interested.
