I had my suspicions that my friend of 40 years from grade school, and friends throughout his journey thru college, then as a cop and then to the FBI....had succumbed to the MSM media narrative. I sent the video of the Capitol for his LEO opinion....he refused to watch that “shit.” “MTG probably produced it.” Immediately launched into Rep. Green from GA. So he wouldn’t give an opinion on the swat team doing nothing for the shot Trump supporter....how the police did nothing. He then mentioned Ben Sasse video and I should watch that, a “reputable politician,” and how “Jim Jordan and Nunes suck orange mans d:ck” ...total TDS....and THIS was a FBI agent....they are ALL tainted.

Considering how corrupt our intelligence agencies are, do you believe they would hire or promote people within their ranks that are honest? No. They’re going to hire/promote people that toe the line and do/say what they’re told. I agree with another poster here that this friend is probably a liability. I’d be very careful about what you say to them, and would probably limit seeing them, if not cut them off altogether.
Who knows? This FBI guy could have had a shady "nod nod wink wink" twenty years ago and now it's being leveraged against him. There are decent LEO types, but I don't trust them in general. At some point, any officer might be asked to do something that violates their principles or is unethical or unconstitutional.
It's been my experience that a big number of these folks are (or have become through repetition) blind rule followers who do what they are told by the system, unflinchingly. Read the Milgram experiments: you cannot trust those in power when those who run it are evil and corrupt.
