The last bit of the article said they expected the court to overrule the 1st court, why are you posting fake news that you know what they're going to announce? The case is up for argument on the 24th of March, I suggest you unbunch your panties and stop posting misleading fake news until the court actually decides.

I agree. This is a sky is falling post.

Really? Just this morning, the SC decided that the state will be permitted to restrict singing and chanting during services. Where in the Constitution does the government get to stop you from speech, especially prayer? They also can restrict a church to 25% of volume. After a year of evidence that these lockdowns have NO public health value, the state can still use it as an excuse to limit religion (as well as commerce).

This is clearly violating the First Amendment.

The court long ago dispensed with private property rights and allowed egregious abuse of eminent domain in Kelo.

What gives anybody hope that they will suddenly find a spine and a love for originalism.

I share your frustration.

There are a lot of hysterical and inciting posts on here lately. Probably Glow fucks trying to incite people to violence. They're trying every way possible in the media to do exactly that .

magamemer [S] 8 points ago +8 / -0

Or more likely, posted by people near the end of their rope after seeing court after court, legislature after legislature, shitting on the foundations of the Republic. And here we see, in tandem with the gun grab legislation, a well-timed Supreme Court case to give its enforcement the all-clear.

We have to work at the state level to save this place. I have no faith in any Federal institution at this point.

A couple of dedicated 4chan trolls have made themselves at home here, obviously. Deport and be careful what links you click, because they love honeypot links.

Agreed, why take it up if you are just going to affirm it.

The last bit of the article hasn't been reading the papers lately. Aside from 1 or 2 Justices, the SC has shredded any semblance of upholding the Constitution as written, and have relaxed protection after protection of our Liberties. Of course the article says they expect the court to overrule. But why believe them instead of your own lying eyes?

Because we need sauce here at TDW.

I'm all for sources. But if Roberts writes the majority explaining that public safety is more important the the Bill of Rights, as he pretty much just did concerning banning singing in church, then you owe me a beer.

Hey we should all get together for a beer regardless. I’ll buy you one.

One of the powers of the “state of emergency” we’ve had here in Australia for almost a year is exactly that - police can now enter your home at any time if they think you’re a risk to public health. Our “emergency” is going to continue until at least 2022 according to govt ministers.

stealthboy 22 points ago +22 / -0

Our “emergency” is going to continue until at least 2022 according to govt ministers.

The emergency will never end.

4
Sumarongi 4 points ago +4 / -0

Why would it ever end? There’s no incentive for it to it end. We’re royally fucked

'Emergency powers gives me the ability to over step and enter your life'

'it last for years'

Sorry, only one thing needs to be done to people like this - hanging.

I forgot to mention - one of the things they decreed under the “state of emergency” was that protests are illegal. An exception was made for the BLM “protest”, obviously.

I recommend you armor your doors. The average door can’t stand up to a swift kick.

It will be seen that, as used, the word ‘Fascism’ is almost entirely meaningless. In conversation, of course, it is used even more wildly than in print. I have heard it applied to farmers, shopkeepers, Social Credit, corporal punishment, fox-hunting, bull-fighting, the 1922 Committee, the 1941 Committee, Kipling, Gandhi, Chiang Kai-Shek, homosexuality, Priestley's broadcasts, Youth Hostels, astrology, women, dogs and I do not know what else.

-George Orwell

With respect to Mr. Orwell, fascism did eventually manifest in many places, as he was well aware. He is referring to the type of people who called Trump a fascist. They could never point to a single person he ever had arrested or disappeared for speech he disliked. No thug squads dragging people out of their homes. No internment camps. No purges (although I wish he had had a few!).

What we're seeing now is a coup based on fraud and foreign interference, aided by technological monopolies and media censorship. And what they are bringing to bear to extend their "victory" involves a large chunk of actual, honest-to-god fascism. Look at the damn barbed wire; can it be more blatant?

To argue against its successful landing here would be a good thing.

buckfoomers 0 points ago +3 / -3

No, he goes after the people who call the left fascists as well.

https://www.orwell.ru/library/articles/As_I_Please/english/efasc

Call a spade a spade. Fascism was killed in the 40s.

magamemer [S] 0 points ago +1 / -1

Tell that to the people in North Korea. You can call it something else, but you can also call Satan Beelzebub or Old Scratch. Same difference.

2
buckfoomers 2 points ago +2 / -0

The people in North Korea are probably told we're fascist, just like the Berlin Wall was officially called the Anti-Fascist Protection Rampart by the communist Germans. As Orwell said, it's just a meaningless slur now.

-2
jomten -2 points ago +1 / -3

No it wasn't. Fascism is just a rebranding of communism, which is a rebranding of being a jealous loser.

Fascism comes from the root word fascio, which is also the root word for faggot.

Faggots as a slur originally meant fascist, I assume it got associated with homosexuality as a psyop to keep Americans from wanting to be associated with communism.

Mussolinis state took over all private businesses, used violent thugs to quash dissent, and Mussolini was such a radical socialist he splintered the Italian socialist party by pushing his radical agenda.

Fascism is socialism by another name, its Pepsi vs Coke.

100s of conservative sites and you bring Forbes here? Also the ruling hasn't happened yet CCP

3
AmazinKrackin 3 points ago +3 / -0

The Supreme Court is a paid assembly for the globalists and the communists. Why even have this body? All corrupt except for Thomas. Justice Roberts is a compromised tool out to destroy America. Lock and load. Does the NRA even exist anymore?

1
magamemer [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

They do, but they have been outbid by the Chinese.

1
Creepy_Ginger 1 point ago +1 / -0

Supreme Court will be deciding who lives and dies as they enter someone's property un-announced and un-wanted.

MAGA_SCIENCE 1 point ago +2 / -1

What a horseshit title only to find out it has Forbes. Deport this faggot troll.
