This sample size is also really pathetic. For 99% confidence - which is the BARE minimum social scientists at a place like ABC should accept, polling American adults even under ideal conditions should be over 650. This has an effective margin of error of 6-7% even before factoring in sources of error.

Social scientists usually go with the 95% confidence level. With that, the poll has an error margin of around 4.4%. Still way too high, IF the sample was truly random. But of course it wasn't. BS poll as usual from BS people.
