The life we where born into has changed to what we are living now. Our human rights are not being respected. Our country and thoughts are under constant attack. The laws are not equally prosecuted. Even federal agencies are not going after criminals but chose to judge harshly those who differ politically. Reeducation camps and drone strikes (msnbc) are talked about on the propoganda news outlets. Censorship is considered normal along with shaming people just for not wearing a mask or not getting the vaccine. The light in this darkness can not yet be seen but some times one can feel the silent warm spark without seeing it.

Well said. The trick is not losing hope while also remaining grounded in the reality of our current situation. May God grant us all the strength to persevere.

Knowing that some people will lose hope when they realize the gravity of danger that is reality, I wrote this for those who know reality yet want to retain hope. We are like blind people who can not see the light at the end of the tunnel but feeling our way through darkness we can be guided by the warmth provided by the light. Sure we may stumble or fall and even bump our heads when we try to stand but at the end if the day we can be thankful that we can at least feel and that is reality.
