It's true that only 13% of the country is black, and that they commit >50% of the violent crimes. However, really almost all those violent crimes are committed by black males age 18-35, which is less than half the black males. If you figure that 6.5% of the population is black females, then it follows that 6.5% of the population is black males.
Then you see that the problem is that black males age 18-35, which are 3% of the US population, are committing 50% of all violent crimes in the US. And people claim it's racist to be suspicious of black men???
