The same buddy I was referencing earlier who just moved to FLA lived in Panama City for a couple of years about a decade+ ago. I was going to try to visit, but the nearest airport was ATL. That won't work for me.

I like that you talk about springs. I'm a cave diver and have been dying to check out the famous Florida cave systems. My dive buddy here in San Diego actually was one of the first explorers of the Florida cave system, but we prefer Tulum, Mexico for caves now. Florida's caves are a bit more treacherous due to stronger tidal flows.
