I'm not trying to push anything here, but in my opinion, what my lib friends don't understand about some of these books in the Bible... is that they are individual BOOKS, compiled in a format or testament etc. There are some ancient books in there that cross over into other realms of history, and talk about the various trajectories of civilizations of the past. Its like the Star Wars story playing on a loop every 250-400 years in different areas of the world. When you think about it, Orwell's "1984" is already taking place in China and has been for a long time. Anyhow, it took me many years to realize that the Bible is not so daunting if you just remove the religious "expectations" aspect of it (like my old youth minister who was creepy and breathed down our necks to read and understand certain chapters he liked), and focus on each book's "Experience" with the Truth. Its your own journey, and whether you believe or not, that's totally up to you and that is the beauty of the USA baby! I recommend Ecclesiastes even if you're a non believer, I've been reading it a lot and it has given me comfort at this unusual time to be alive. It is a grounded book that has a lot of information relevant to today.
A liberal friend of a friend told me that "white Christian nationalism" is a problem and it reminded me of some article I saw lately... the left throws race, religion, genders, etc. into all of these one size fits all categories, not realizing that the very essence of the segregation they are so desperate for is racist! They are playing into a sinister game, not realizing that each person's destiny and life on this planet is a completely different fit than someone else's.
I don't remember what I'm trying to get at now lol, but I'm proud of you patriots on this site who are responsive, passionate, and are not apologetic for inheriting an amazing country from our parents and grandparents of all races and creeds, all sharing the commonality that they LOVE FREEDOM. Have a great night.
I think, if you're in it for the pseudo-history, you'd be better off studying actual history. Very many fascinating things have happened.
