I'm a 38 year NJ native and I still don't get the appeal of Springsteen to people here. His music sucks, and he can't sing for shit. He's just one of those who decided to take on the motif of "local working class guy" in his music and people bought it.

I also don't care either way on pork roll/taylor ham. I don't eat it. I'd rather real bacon or sausage. I do from time to time drink coffee "milk, 2 sugars" though usually i just drink black coffee jow

I think his working class thing was all planned as a marketing tactic. They make a big deal about how he started by playing at bars. Almost every rock musician started by playing at bars. It’s not a big deal, but they make it one.

THIS

Springsteen sucks, he's always sucked. He's a hack with a good publicity staff.

My Leftist "friends" have always virtue-signaled about him (and U2, supercactusfuck them) as if they had invented the wheel. It's low-skill low-effort crap, made for the lowest-common-denominator of SJWs to boast about being into so their friends will think they're "woke."
