Someone is inoculated with a weakened version of a virus. The body, in response to detecting particles that it identifies as an "infection," then makes antibodies to defeat the infection while the weakened strain's deadlier symptoms never present. Or present in a very mild way for shorter duration.
You don't wait to get infected and then get vaccinated as a treatment. You get vaccinated so that serious infection never happens in the first place by making your body produce antibodies that a full-on infection would cause.

The election was lost in March and April when the legislatures of certain states did not protect their constitutionally granted power.
Hopefully, the states that matter will fix the issues.
