I think you're missing the point of OP's point if you want Republicans to still win. A large majority of Republicans do not care for us. Point to the Republicans that can represent us in all 50 states and maybe people won't have to say there is a uniparty.
A third party is necessary. The two party system failed.
We only had two parties for the last 4 years, before that there was just one...
Actually we already have a third party that's already losing us elections - it's called the Libertarian Party.
