There was this gun-content creator on YT (ex-delta maybe) who was talking about home defense in one of his videos and he said that he'd rather lose hearing and shoot indoors without any suppressor to wake up the whole neighborhood than pretend that he is in any sort of advantage in a home invasion scenario.
