They have to keep up the charade to prolong it. If they cured it overnight a lot of people will wake up and be super pissed. Can you imagine if all these mask sheep had the illusion broken and learned the only reason their lives and those around them were ruined for an entire year was to hurt Trump? I think they would snap further to the right than any of us on this site.

The media would blame Trump for inefficiency/problems, give Biden the credit for fixing said issues, and they would keep stroking the (D)onkey.

There is still money to be made, and ousting Trump was only part of the reason for all of this. The rest is control.
